Week #14 - Return to Central
This week’s topic was so difficult for me to create; I lost count of how many layers of paint and gesso are on this page. Because I don’t have a childhood home to return to I got caught up in the literal translation of the topic instead of my own definition of “returning to central”. Once I realized that “home” for me is turning into myself, turning to the core of me, one of my favorite quotes came to mind. It was only then that I was able to make something from the chaos on my page. Whereas I realized I could have started over on a new page (and I wanted to!), I chose to work with the layers I had already created and go through the process of discovery in one place.
