Week 4: Home
Finally jumping in with a long overdue Week 4. I chose to focus on my home state of Texas.
I might have gone a bit overboard with techniques on this—but I was in the mood to play and experiment! For the background, I wrote some of the lyrics of Tanya Tucker’s “Texas When I Die” with a bleach pen on denim. I attempted a transfer with inkjet transparency and gel medium to get my old pic onto the canvas-like material, but wasn’t too successful. I ran out of the kind of transparency that worked well. So I kinda cheated and used inkjet iron on transfer paper instead.
