Letters to Santa

Shimelle I am loving this journal but today had me having such fun and convincing myself – and probably everyone else – that I have finally flipped and gone over the edge of the sanity precipice.
I wrote four letters to santa – though not all from me LOL
They are on my blog

Page 18- Guess Who's Coming to Dinner

I always fix Christmas Eve dinner. All the kids and Grandkids
that are in town come for dinner. I fix the same thing every
year because they all look forward to my brisket and potatoes.
My oldest granddaughter can’t come this year so I won’t need
as many olives or potatoes, her favorites. Oh same thing
with the strawberry salad. After dinner and visiting we open
the presents.

On Christmas day the kids visit the other Grandparents, so
everyone gets a visit. That is fine with us, my husband and
I will have dinner just the two of us. It works out well for
everybody this way. I say it is spreading the Love around.

Trying to get ahead...

Ive snuck ahead, basically because I go away on 23rd and dont want to be too behind!

So here’s my page for prompt 18 – what we normally have for Christmas Dinner. The ribbon pulls out to show a photo of my Christmas table from last year.

And my letter to Father Christmas asking for snow this year. Full details are on my blog.

Prompt 13 Tales of Christmas Presents

Quite a quick page think I need to speed up a bit!

Used K& CO paper to cut sizzlit tags stamped letters and embossed with distress powder then overstamped with gold ink as it looked too harsh just in black – like the effect.

So looking forward to doing Day 14 have had ideas in my head for days just need the time to do it!

Well done to every-one who’s up to date – how do you do it?

Prompt 12 -A Tale of Christmas past

I have used 2 things on this page, 1 I never thought i would use and the other have had in my stash waiting for the right time.

The one I thought I wouldn’t use is the gold elastic cord. This is holding the accordian book in place.
The book cover os made with a square of acrylic which is the item I’ve had waiting for the right time to use it!
I have stamped on the front then used alcohol inks on the back of it and stuck to card.

Inside the book is journalling about how and why I think my Christmas’s have changed.

Lynn (still catching up!)

Page17- Perfect Gift

I have a special Granddaughter that bakes lots of beautiful
cupcakes, so when I saw the display rack that Wilton had out
I knew that would be a perfect gift for her. Of course I had
to send it early so she would have it to display her Christmas
cupcakes. I called it a preChristmas gift. She loved it, I knew
she would. I have sent her a box full of nice things for Christmas
but wonder if they will be as perfect.

Last year I found a beautiful black leather jacket I knew my
oldest Grandson would love. I was right he wears it all the
time and tells everyone his Grandparents got it for him.

I love it when you find the perfect gift.
